Masterclass with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter C. Slansky. Breaking the Rules of Cinematography?



We are pleased to invite you to a new evening Masterclass, which will offer the opportunity to meet Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter C. Slansky.
Peter C. Slansky is Executive Professor for TV and Film Technology, Managing Director of the Technology Department and Founding Director of the CreatiF-Centre at the prestigious University of Television and Film in Munich (Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München, HFF).
With an illustrious career spanning over three decades at HFF, Peter C. Slansky has also held key roles such as member of the Senate, the University Council and served as Dean of Studies for three terms, exemplifying his commitment to academic excellence and leadership.
In 2013, Mr Slansky earned his Ph.D. in architecture from the Bauhaus University Weimar, further solidifying his expertise in interdisciplinary fields. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the realization of HFF’s new state-of-the-art building in Munich’s vibrant Arts Quarter.
In 2023 he received the Teaching Award from CILECT (The International Association of Film and Television Schools).
He has had numerous lecturing engagements across Germany and Switzerland since 1992.
As a prolific author and consultant Dr. Slansky’s insights into film technology and educational architecture have garnered acclaim, expanding the academic and professional landscape.
Peter C. Slansky produced sixty industrial and commercial films between 1988 and 1999 as a Director, Cinematographer or Producer, and has been a set photographer for Lars von Trier.
He is also a fervent amateur astronomer.

The Masterclass will be conducted in English.
