Valentina Pini
Valentina Pini’s practice inhabits a conceptual threshold where the structural rigidity meets the fluid, unsettling logic of a dream. Moving virtuosically across sculpture, video, and photography, Valentina Pini acts as an alchemist of the everyday. She filters the blinding reality of material laws through a transformative lens, creating her own narrative that allows only the most evocative shadows of meaning to pass through. This process shields the viewer from the mundane while exposing them to the uncanny. Her work functions as a constant calibration of the eye, questioning both the permanence of matter and the reliability of perception. By daringly mixing diverse sources—from ancient philosophy and magic to the cold precision of industrial physics—she builds personal mythologies where objects are never merely themselves. Like a puppeteer of the physical world, Valentina Pini stages multi-layered illusions that challenge the observer to question the very nature of what they see.
