SUPSI

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) is present at PalaCinema Locarno with a laboratory of the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education: the Media and MINT Lab (MEM) explores education in digital technologies and media and their use in educational and school settings, from educational robotics to media education. It also deals with aspects of teaching and cultural mediation of moving images, including in cooperation with the Locarno Film Festival.

The research and development activities of the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education focus on the reality of educational and training systems, teaching and learning, through multiple theoretical and methodological approaches. In dialogue and collaboration with stakeholders in the school system and the national and international scientific community, the DFA/ASP supports the development and production of knowledge and its dissemination in schools and society.
